Halfacre Construction adds new wing to assisted living facility
SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. – Last week, commercial construction company Halfacre Construction Company (HalfacreConstruction.com) broke ground on a 35,000-square-foot addition for Cypress Creek Assisted Living Residence, a premiere senior assisted living and memory care residence.
The existing 48,000-square-foot facility comprises of wings A through F, including administration offices and the residence’s full kitchen. The newest addition will add wings G, H and I along with a media and community event room, which will connect to the existing administration building.
“At the end of the day, we don’t answer to a corporate office in another state, we answer to our residents, families and caregivers,” said Jim Biggins, president of Cypress Creek. “This allows us to focus on providing an individualized, higher quality of care for everyone in our community.”
The latest project will add 50 private courtyard suites, one nursing station and one physical therapy room to the facility. Each of the three new wings will also include a common living room, family-style dining room, kitchen, laundry room and garden courtyard area.
All individual rooms will be outfitted with crown molding, chair rails and other personal touches for a lived-in and comfortable ambiance. Located at 970 Cypress Village Blvd. in Sun City Center, the $5.5 million project is slated for completion in spring 2018.
The decision to expand the current community came after years of growth and high occupancy, highlighting the need for additional care options in the local area. Family owned and operated, Cypress Creek stands apart from other corporate owned facilities.
