Halfacre Construction Company was recently awarded the project to replace and add an approximately 14,000-square-foot building at Englewood Elementary School in Englewood, Fla.
The new structure is currently in the design phase by Fawley Bryant Architecture, with the project projected to break ground in spring 2020. The current building No. 6 will be demolished after the replacement is completed. The newest structure will house classrooms and other educational spaces for elementary children.
The approximately $5.5 million project will be phased to accommodate an active campus. Located at 150 N. McCall Road in Englewood, the current campus consists of 12 buildings and four portables.
Englewood Elementary School’s philosophy is based on the idea that the purpose of education is to provide a continuation of essential learning. The school aims to provide students with a solid educational foundation to promote active, lifelong learning in a safe, respectful environment.
